Dearly beloved in Christ,

Let us thank God for experiencing His blessings during the past three months. We arranged Church Picnic, Retreat, Youth Fellowship Retreat , Graduation Service and so on. As a Church community and as a Faith Community we should always be thankful to the Lord.

We are entering into the last months of this year. We should ask ourselves, what is the purpose of my Life? In II Timothy 1:6, 7 “Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift if God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love, and of a sound mind”. Paul wants to remind him “to stir into Flame”. God gave each one of us different talents. We want to “Stir Up”. Because “God hath not given us the Spirit of fear”(2 Tim 1:7a). But we want to experience three things which God had given to us. He has given us the Spirit of:-

1. Power:- We want ‘the power’ to ‘stir up’ our talents. Just as a dynamo needs to be in motion to produce power so one needs to stir up into flame the gift of God in his life. Just as our cell phone lost the charge we will recharge it for long use. We want to take more time for prayer. Because through prayer we will get the power of Jesus.

2. Love:-We should be filled with divine love. We should produce God’s love without having any expectations of position, award, recognition ie`Agape’-sacrificial love. Many times we fail to love others without any expectation. Jesus Said-`If you love each other, the world will know you are disciples’.

3. A Sound Mind:-To understand the reality of the life and the reality of the world, we should be aware of the evil spirit in the world. We should experience ‘the victorious life’ through Jesus Christ. As a faith community we should away from all the dark spirit which leads to failure.

Paul is giving instruction to Timothy, be bold in life and stir up your talent which God had given. Our purpose of life is not to make ‘a name of our own’ but to live for Christ and for the Glory of His Kingdom. We must crucify ourselves and surrender all our passion, evil thinking and allow Jesus to live in our lives. If we make a decision in our heart God will open us a new blessed year into our life. Don’t boost ourselves. Submit our lives before God and say ‘I want to do something for You…..’.

We are entering towards a celebration of Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Both of these events are very important in our lives. As a family and as a faith Community we want to thank God for many things. “Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift”(2 Cor: 9:15).

In Christmas day we create a joyful moment but purposely we forget what the pain behind this great event is. Pain of the Mary, Joseph and our Savior suffered for us in the Cross. “Believing, Christ came to the world and died that is history; believing, Christ came to this world and died for me-that is Salvation”. So real joy in Christmas is ‘I got the Salvation’. My great ambition is that each and every person of this church should accept Jesus Christ as their own Lord and savior.

I wish you all a meaningful Christmas and Blessed New Year.

A Servant of God,

Jacobachen.
