Dearly beloved in Christ,
It is finished (John 19:30)
This verse includes the thoughts about the cross and the mission of Jesus Christ. It is finished " - (Τετέλεσται) Tetelestai - " To bring to a close, to end, to finish." This verse does not have a negative connotation. It is the end of a long experience; a completion. Father, I have completed. It is a very courageous statement. In the midst of sufferings and struggles, Jesus was able to say "it is finished." This was the statement of a Victor, not a victim. He successfully finished His mission on earth. This should be the motivating force in our life.
Our ministry in this area has been finished. Last three years was a wonderful experience and great exposure for us. It was indeed a great privilege and honor for us to serve the New Jersey MarThoma Church. We are grateful to the Church, Episcopal Synod and the Diocesan Episcopa for posting us in this Parish. We are thankful to each and every member of the New Jersey MTC. We really enjoyed your fellowship, experienced your love and affection and embraced by your care.
I hope and believe that our new vicar Rev. Jacob Varghese will reach here by 1st week of May. I wish all best wishes for Achen's successful ministry here and request all of you to give your strong support to Achen and his family. Kindly uphold us also in your prayers.
Passion Week is the time for meditating the cross, sufferings and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This year we are fortunate to have our beloved Thirumeni Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius with us on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. I pray that this service may be a blessing to our Parish and each member. Monday through Friday we will have evening worship at 7:30 pm. All are requested to attend.
Once again, I want to thank all of you for your support and prayers. May God Almighty keep us all safe!
Yours in His Ministry,
Joseachen, Vincy, Stephin and Shelin
