Dearly beloved,
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We have entered into the third quarter of the year. Let us praise God for Thy providence that we experienced in the past six months of our parish life. Jesus offered us that He will pray to the Father to send the Holy Spirit upon us so that we will be guided by the power of the Holy Spirit.
What is the peculiarity of the spirit of God. It is Holy. Isaiah saw a vision that the angels are praising God by saying “Holy Holy Holy, Lord God of power and might, Heaven and earth are full of Thy Glory, Hosanna in the highest.” By seeing this vision Isaiah understood that he is a man of unclean lips, and he lives among a people of unclean lips.
Understanding who we are, is the most important thing in our life. If we don’t know who we are? we cannot live a life that is pleasing to God. John the Baptist said, “I baptize you with water, but the one who is mightier than me will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and the fire.” We need purification in our life. Fire shows the purification. The holy spirit will purify us. For that we have to dedicate our life to God
We have to identify what are the things which make us unclean. Isaiah said he has unclean lips. We have to check the quality and the purity of our lips, our eyes, our ears, our hearts, our hands and our legs. Since our body, mind and spirit are God’s creation and gift, be vigilant to keep its sanctity.
To keep it in its sanctity we should have to worship God regularly and study the word of God regularly. Psalm: 119: 1&2, “Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the Law of the Lord. How blessed are those who observe His testimonies, who seek Him with all their hearts.”
We are called to be blessed. And through our blessed life let this world should become blessed. I wish and pray that may the Holy Spirit enable us as a parish to do the works which are a blessing to others, Amen
With prayers
