Dearly beloved,
Greetings to all of you in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. First of all let us thank Almighty Lord for bringing us to a New Year to live with God and to live for God. Our life is the precious gift of the Lord and we have to handle it with carefully otherwise it will be destroyed and we cannot fulfill the purpose of God in our life. God has given to us so many potentials and we have to use it for the blessing of this world instead of digging it.
Jesus is our role model. What a blessed life Jesus lead in this world. His life was for the blessing of this world (people). He gave healing, peace, comfort and resurrection to the people. Wherever Jesus went we could see a large crowd over there, why? Because people knew only Jesus could give them all the blessings and goodness. Jesus loves us and cares us. His life was dedicated for people’s blessing. This is the nature of God. Jesus is the only one who can change our life from curse to blessing, from sin to salvation. So in this New Year let us live with Jesus and live for Jesus for blessing this world.
We are created by God to experience the divine blessings, so we don’t waste this time and this life. Each day is precious. As Jesus did good to the people we as the church are called to propagate that goodness to the society wherever we are planted.
In January we meditate about the Holy Baptism. We all are Baptized in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We are united with the Holy trinity. We are for God and our goal is the Kingdom of God. Holy Baptism is a divine commissioning to live a blessed life as Jesus lived in this world.
On February 7th the Great Lent begins. This is to meditate the forty days of fasting prayer of Jesus and the passion of Christ. Only through the prayer, meditation of the Word of God and Fasting we can discipline our Christian life. Do not consider it as a silly thing, but take it as serious.
In March we observe the passion of Christ. Through the suffering Jesus we were redeemed from the sin and death. So we should be always thankful to Jesus for giving salvation to us. Jesus is not life destroyer but life Giver. One Friday we call as Good Friday because Jesus died on that day. The death day is not a good day, it is sad day. But why we call the death day of Jesus as Good, because we were redeemed on that day. So let us think how much precious we are before the Lord.
In this New Year let us all together work for the glory of the Kingdom of God. I wish all of you a Happy Resurrected Life (Easter).
May God bless us all.
