"I will praise you God with all my heart and I will tell the people about the wonderful things you have done for me." Psalm 9:1-2
How can we obtain a blessed and a peaceful life in the midst of adversity and calamity?
We just finished the great lent, crucifixion and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ who is our sustainer and redeemer. This is the time we look in to ourselves for a spiritual cleanliness, spirit of forgiveness, spirit of reconciliation (if needed) complete transformation of our heart from the past, to walk with Jesus, to feel His presence, to hear His voice and receive the heart of Jesus which is full of love to reflect in our own life.
We can be lighted to lighten in this wicked world by applying the promises of God in to all our circumstances. Then Gods plan in our life becomes more meaningful. We will have intimate relationship with God. We feel His presence and guidance and He gives us discernment to identify His voice over the voices of deception (John chapter 10). Always remember the birth of Jesus is to give us Joy, peace and happiness. He died for us, buried and rose again and ascended to heaven, sitting at the right hand of the Father and interceding for all of us. Therefore through the power of resurrection He crushed the head of Satan and made us free once in for all. Praise God for His agape love.
We need to trust and obey to be happy in Jesus. We need to renew our mind according to the word of God to walk in real victory with Christ Jesus. This is the perfect time to renew our mind spiritually, physically and emotionally to live a life according to the perfect will and plan of our savior (because of what he has done at the cross for all of us). The Bible should be the blueprint and the navigator for our eternal life. He has given us His promises the word of God to equip us, strengthen us and bless us to fulfill the great plan in our life. According to Jeremiah 29:11 says "God has a plan which gives us great hope for our future." Our job is to cooperate with that plan with our faith in Jesus Christ. Jeremiah 33:3 says "call unto me I will answer you and show you mighty and great things you do not know." 33:6 Says "I will heal them with abundant peace and security." also Jeremiah 33: 9 says" I will cleans them from all their guilt, inequity and sins." Isaiah 53:5 says "He was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our guilt and inequities up on him were the chastisement that brought us peace." John 8:32 says "know the truth and truth will set you free."
We can look some of the Bible references to fulfill these promises and how they got victory in their adversity.
How God used Abraham to become the father of all nations through his obedient and faithfulness. How Israel reach their promised land after forty years, delayed due to disobedient and murmuring. How God used Joseph through all his adversities and raised him from pit to palace. How God used Shepherd David to become the king of Israel and list goes on (Hebrews 11). They all trusted God with unwavering faith and obedience. Praising God, prayer, word of God, helmet of salvation, shield of faith are our weapons as a child of God to be victorious.
Conclusion:
1. We need to know who Jesus is, His power and what He has done at the Cross for us with his agape love to free us to be victorious from all adversities.
2. We need to trust obey and believe the promises of God. He is always faithful to His promises, the righteous lives by faith and without faith we cannot please God. He is the rewarded of those who diligently seek Him.
3. We need to have Jesus in our heart to be Holy and obedient. The Holy Spirit will help us to have a heart of forgiveness and total surrender. God wants us to worship Him in spirit and truth. The act of reconciliation can bring us back to divine favor, blessings and supernatural power of God.
4. the power and authority given to us as a child of God free from all kind of bondages, and adversities, we need to apply and speak the word of God to the problem. We need to be a light in darkness. Refer 1 Peter 2:9-10.
5. We need to spend time alone with God in Prayer. Talking to Him and listening to Him like our own father
6. We should live a spirit filled life, then we will not have any desires of this world. When we walk with Jesus there is no fear. He has not given us the spirit of fear but power, love and sound mind (2ndTimothy1-7).
7. We need to live a life that heavenly focused and God centered in all our actions and deeds. Be a witness for Jesus and spread the good news to others. God is challenging me and you to live with His resurrected power daily.
I pray and encourage you to seek these promises for divine wisdom discernment, direction and favor to reveal and manifest in our own life for the glory of God. 2nd timothy 4: 7-8 says that "When the day comes we can hear Him well done my son/daughter you have fought the good fight, finish the race and kept your faith and the kingdom of heaven is waiting for you."
This is the cry and heart of Jesus. Let us be obedient to it.
May God bless us and equip us to fulfill this for eternal kingdom.
With love and prayers
