Women serving together — in prayer, in ministry, and in love. The Sevika Sangham is the heartbeat of service in the Mar Thoma Church of New Jersey.
Women's Fellowship
Sevika Sangham — meaning "Fellowship of Servants" — is the women's ministry of the Mar Thoma Church, present in every parish around the world. In New Jersey, the Sevika Sangham is a powerful force of prayer, hospitality, community care, and mission — bound together by a shared calling to serve as Christ served.
Under the leadership of President Rev. Pratesh Oommen, the Sangham holds a weekly prayer meeting every Thursday at 10:00 AM. The full monthly gathering meets on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 10:00 AM. Its programs encompass prayer gatherings, charitable giving, hospital visits, and support for diocesan mission work.
Monthly meetings open with worship, Bible study, and intercession for parish, community, and world needs.
Fundraising and direct service to those in need — locally and through the diocesan mission fund.
The Sevika Sangham is the gracious host of parish meals, celebrations, and special gatherings.
